More and more
Before installing your laminate floor, make sure that your sub floor is flat and smoothly laid out. Underlayment should be used under your floor for sound proofing purposes. Inspect flooring panels, and look for damage before installation, or else you could have uneven planks that can't be locked together. Choose a High Pressure Laminate that is more expensive, but offers a greater variety of designs, higher durability and enhanced inter locking mechanisms. Prices vary from the lowest end to high end ranges, and quality is usually determined by price.
Although laminate floors come with AC ratings that signify that they have passed all test requirements, you still need to take care of your laminate floor to avoid dents and stains. Look for an AC rating of 3 for your home, although a rating of AC 1 will do for a light use room like a bed room. Protect your floor by using rugs or carpets, and make sure that all floor coverings are made of color fast materials that won't stain your floor. Avoid rough carpet materials that may catch your floor. Never use house hold bleach, ammonia cleaners or detergents to clean your laminate floors. Use products that are recommended by your manufacturer.

interested in replacing carpet flooring with wood or tile |
Hi, I'm interested in sanding down my original hardwood floors and re-varnishing them. How much would it cost for: 1) you to come in and just sand or 2) do everything with water-based low VOC varnish? The area is roughly 1000 sq ft: 4 bedrooms, living room, dining room, den, stairs and hallway. |
